Validation of a Test and Evaluation Model for Planning and Architecture Optimisation
Project Summary
Defence systems acquisition is fraught with all sorts of financial, technical, and political risks. Arguably the most resource-demanding stages in any acquisition program are the various stages of test and evaluation. The test processes however are designed, planned, and executed by relying solely on experience and expertise of test engineers. To this end, application of Artificial intelligence to T&E planning and T&E architecture optimisation is highly desirable for objectives such as minimum cost, minimum test time, and maximum quality of tested components, subsystems, and systems.
The purpose of this project is to validate a Model-Based T&E Design methodology that uses Artificial Intelligence by searching through various ways (architectures) tests can be applied to system elements.
